Introduction to Counselling – Level 2 

Our level 2 course content is now incorporated into the Level 3 course, where you can start your journey to become a counsellor.

Counselling Skills Certificate – Level 3 Ofqual equivalent

In this course you will learn the principles of counselling and how to build an essential relationship with clients, with the emphasis on confidentiality, empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.

  • You will gain more self awareness by engaging in personal development. We will teach you how to really listen and attend. At this level we use a person centred approach based on the theory of Carl Rogers.

  • 90 hours

Entry Level:

  • There is no entry level for this course.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Level 3 Counselling Skills Certificate and

be eligible to apply for our Level 4 Counselling Diploma.

Diploma in Counselling Skills & Theory – Level 4 Ofqual equivalent

Course Ref: LIC21-L4

Our level 4 diploma will teach you skills to work at a deeper level with complex issues and allow you to practice and develop different theoretical styles to find the best way to work that suits your clients’ needs and your personality.

After successful completion of this course you will be a qualified counsellor. You can then apply for full membership and continue your journey towards accreditation.

  • We will teach you a number of theories and modals to enable you to work as an integrative counsellor

320 hours – Classroom

120 hours – Home Study

100 hours – Placement

Course Costs:

  • £3,850 (payment for the courses is made simple by offering a monthly interest free payment scheme).

Entry Level:

  • This course is for students who have successfully completed a Level 3 Counselling Skills classroom-based course comprising a minimum 90 hours face to face. 

After successful completion of this course you will be awarded a Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory

and invited to a Lindum College Cap and Gown presentation event.
