The objective of this course is to provide the student with the information and tools to either integrate CBT into their therapeutic work enable them to assist the client appropriately to address issues, set goals and move forward positively with their lives. This course is available to counsellors qualified to a minimum level 4 Diploma in counselling qualification. or enrolled on a level 4 counselling course

The objective of this course is to provide the tools for counselling and helping children and young people to deal with the many issues they have to face in this modern world. The course is in depth and informative and is only accessible for students with a level 4 Diploma in counselling (classroom Taught) This is a practical hands on course that allows the participants to practice the skills.

This course is based on the BACP competency for supervision
Entry level for this course - Level 5 qualification / post qualification course or 450 supervised client hours
During this course we will teach you to understand:
The working alliance / The supervision processes and wider concepts including culture, politics, and economics
Developing role flexibility and Building a relationship
Session structure and agenda building / Confronting incompetence and legalities
You will explore:
Your values and beliefs, assumptions and philosophy / To work in accordance with your own definition of supervision
Self-acceptance, your confidence in leadership and authority / Facilitating the process
The course is based on an integrative framework
We will cover:
Working remotely, Working creatively/ Working within diversity /The pro-active model
Working with trainees and working freelance
Course assessment will be based on:
Case studies / ethical dilemmas / setting up a practice & contract writing/Experiential work
Homework assignments and final assessment (practical)
We will require a letter of recommendation from your supervisor at the end of the course
