Jane was a co-founder of Lindum College in 2008. My background is in business, having 30 years experience as managing director of a successful company. Since then, I have expanded my skill set to include diplomas in CBT, CYP, Tutor skills, Creative Therapy and Applied Psychology. In 2014 I qualified as a clinical supervisor .and have now expanded that training to level 6. My pleasure is to see the many students who train with Lindum develop and succeed as amazing counsellors. Nadine is a counselling practitioner for adults, children and young people. As well as the counselling manager at Spurgeon's. Nadine has worked with a range of charities; however, it was when she worked at a women’s refuge that she began to specialise in autism and trauma. Nadine then led a counselling service in her local area, writing group therapy programmes for children in schools that were experiencing low level anxiety and anger. Nadine also worked with schools in the local area, counselling autistic children who struggled to attend school. During her time at this service, Nadine also delivered group therapy for parents with autistic children.
Nadine holds a BA in integrative counselling (theory and practical) and an MA in Early Years and Childhood Studies. Her MA dissertation focused on the stigmatisation a young autistic female experience in a secondary school setting, and Nadine reflected on past counselling experiences with young female clients to do this, using an autoethnographic approach to her work. Nadine is currently working on her PhD thesis at Kings College London, where she will consider the impact on the misdiagnosis of autism on girls who have experienced trauma. This will be measured by speaking to not only mental health practitioners across the UK.
Over the last couple of years Nadine has completed a level 6 supervision diploma and has added this to her ever growing practise. As well as currently tutoring our Counselling Children and Young Peoples Level 5 Diploma
